Out of Character: The Podcast Behind the Channel
Most people know us from the channel. But there's a second thing we make together, and it's older than Slushy Noobz itself: our podcast, Out of Character.
How did Out of Character start?
As Hamzah's solo show. Hamzah started Out of Character on his own on YouTube in April 2021, two years before the Slushy Noobz channel existed.
When did Martin join?
October 2023. A few months after we launched the channel, Martin came on as co-host, and since then the podcast has been the two of us.
Where do we record?
In our own studio. In May 2024 we set up a studio as a home base for both Slushy Noobz and Out of Character.
What happened in 2026?
We joined a network. In June 2026 Out of Character joined the iHeartMedia network, as part of Big Money Players. It's still us talking, just with a bigger home.
Why does it matter for the merch?
Same two people. The podcast and the channel are both the two of us, and so is every design in the store. Hamzah versus Martin, for one, puts us head to head under two stars, and the bubble logo draws us side by side with a slushy cup.
